The idea for seattleveggieburgers.com came in late 2009. While listening to my sister complain about a coworker who spent more time working on his hot wings website than he did doing his actual job, I was immediately disgusted that I didn't also have a hot wings website that would spare me from a job I didn't particularly like.

But as a long time vegetarian, I knew a wings website wouldn't fly. So in mid 2011, I quit my job and began developing the site--quite appropriately--at my kitchen table. In November 2011, seattleveggieburgers.com went live and began the long process of reviewing every veggie burger in town.
